We build around you.

Once enough people want the same thing at the same time, we schedule it and email you. Adults only (18+). Bundles are fixed packages — no swapping classes in or out.

Fiber arts

Slow handwork. Wool, thread, needle. Things you do sitting down with good light and company.

4-Week Series

Knitting 101

Small group · 8–10 students

Cast on, knit, purl, bind off. By week four you'll have a finished scarf you can actually wear. Kit included: wool yarn, bamboo needles, project bag, pattern booklet.

4-Week Series

Crochet 101

Small group · 10–12 students

Granny square to a small blanket. The most forgiving fiber art for absolute beginners. Kit included: yarn, hook, project bag, pattern.

4-Week Series

Visible Mending & Sashiko

Small group · 8–10 students

Repair the clothes you already own. Turn worn jeans, sweaters, and shirts into pieces with character. Bring 2–3 garments to mend. Thread, needles, and patches included.

Drawing & paper

For adults who decided they "couldn't draw" in third grade. Real instruction, beginners welcome — that's the whole point.

Watercolor 101

Small group · 8–12 students

Real watercolor instruction for true beginners. By week four, a small portfolio of finished pieces and a clear sense of how to keep practicing on your own. Kit included.

Drawing Fundamentals

Small group · 8–12 students

Line, value, perspective, observation. The drawing class for adults who decided they "couldn't draw." Sketchbook, pencils, and erasers included.

Make a Travel Journal

Workshop · 10–14 students

Build a real hand-bound journal in an afternoon. Walk out with a journal you'd be proud to give as a gift, or keep for yourself. All materials included.

Calligraphy & lettering

Real hands on real paper with real ink. The pointed pen, the letter, the envelope you actually mail.

4-Week Series

Modern Calligraphy 101

Small group · 6–10 students

Pointed pen calligraphy from scratch. By the end of four weeks, you'll be writing in a consistent, beautiful hand and have what you need to keep going on your own. Kit included.

Wedding Envelope Calligraphy

Workshop · 12–15 students

Address your own wedding envelopes by hand. Designed for engaged couples, but useful for anyone with holiday cards or invitations coming up. Pen, ink, and ten envelopes for real practice.

The things every adult is supposed to know — and somehow nobody ever taught us.

How to Set a Proper Table

Forks, glasses, place cards, runners — what goes where and why, for everyday meals and for hosting. Worth knowing once, useful for life.

Planning a real dinner party from invitation to clean-up. Timing, menu, table, flow, the small touches that make guests feel taken care of. Includes a printed planner you can use forever.

Conversation skills for adults who freeze in social settings. How to introduce yourself, hold a conversation with a stranger, listen well, exit gracefully. Practical, not preachy.

Basic Car Care

Intensive · 6–8 students

Tire change, jump start, fluids, when something is a real problem vs. not. Held at a partner garage in Pittston. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty.

Basic Home Repair

Workshop · 10–12 students

Patch drywall, fix a leaky faucet, hang things properly (and find studs), unclog a drain. The 20% of home repair that covers 80% of what you'll need. Tools and materials provided.

How to actually read a lease, a contract, an insurance policy, a paystub, a credit card statement. What every adult is supposed to know and nobody ever taught us.

What grows in our climate, soil basics, raised beds, sun and shade, when to plant what. For new gardeners or apartment-dwellers about to have a yard for the first time.

A loose, hand-tied bouquet using seasonal flowers. Take home a finished arrangement that lasts the week. All flowers and wrapping included.

Workshop · 12–15 students

Outdoor sketching on our patio overlooking the Susquehanna. Brief instruction on simplifying what you see, then two hours of guided sketching with feedback. Weather contingent.

The intimidating part — the starter — taught properly. Walk out with a live, named, jar-fed starter and a feeding-and-troubleshooting guide. Bring it home and start baking.

Building a board people remember. Composition, what to buy, how to arrange, how to make it look effortless. Take home the wooden board you styled, fully loaded.

Wedding Speech Workshop

3-Week Series · Lecture & practice

The class no one else teaches. Walk in nervous, leave with a speech you're proud of.

Three sessions:
  • Writing your speech: the story, the structure, what to leave out
  • Editing & refining: cutting, timing, finding the line that lands
  • Delivery & practice: voice, pacing, eye contact, recovery from nerves
Ages 18–25

Adulting 101 for Young Adults

5-Day Intensive · Mon–Fri, 10 AM–12 PM

For new high school graduates heading to college, college students home for summer, and any young adult parents are gently nudging toward independence. Five mornings before they leave. They'll thank you in October.

Five mornings:
  • Monday: Laundry, ironing, garment care
  • Tuesday: Basic cooking — 5 meals, knife basics, grocery shopping
  • Wednesday: Basic finances — checking, credit, paystub, budget
  • Thursday: Basic home & roommate — cleaning, maintenance, conflict
