- Information from class participation — attendance, class history, and any photos taken of the space (we'll tell you when photography is happening and let you opt out).
How we use it
- To run classes, memberships, and events you've signed up for.
- To send you the updates you've asked for — class schedules, member news, and the Founder's List newsletter.
- To improve the experience, including which classes to offer and how the schedule is built.
- To meet legal, safety, and accounting obligations.

Who we share with
We share information only with service providers who help us run The Hobbiest, and only what they need to do their job. That includes:
- Beehiiv — for sending newsletters and managing email subscriptions.
- Payment processors — for handling class fees, membership dues, and offsite bookings.
- Class instructors — they see the roster (name, contact info) of students enrolled in their classes.
- Law enforcement or regulators — only if legally required.
Cookies
We use a small number of cookies for the site to function (remembering preferences, keeping you signed in) and to understand which parts of the site are most useful. You can disable cookies in your browser, though some features may stop working if you do.
Your rights
